The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
