Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Madison County, Illinois. The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 6+ years on the tools preferred.
