Brick mason — Berkeley County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Berkeley County, West Virginia. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Requirements: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
