Now hiring: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Wilcox County, Georgia. The job is on a road construction project. Your main tasks: • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction • Refuel the machine and record running hours • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
