Great opportunity: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Tompkins County, New York. The job is in a busy laundry. Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On the job you will handle: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching We offer $3,900 per month plus benefits.
