Argon welding operator wanted in Rutland County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Rutland County, Vermont. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot On a typical shift you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
