Machine operator (earthworks) — Jefferson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Jefferson County, Kansas. The job is on a busy civils and groundworks site. Day-to-day duties: • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up What we are looking for: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
