Vacancy available: conventional mill operator (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Borough of Wigan, England. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron The role involves: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery 5+ years on the tools preferred.
