We are recruiting: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Douglas County, Missouri. The job is at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Your main tasks: • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife Part-time with flexible hours.
