Foundry worker • Parmer County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Parmer County, Texas. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal We offer $22 per hour plus benefits.
