Foundry operative — Garfield County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Garfield County, Colorado. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
