Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Full-time with occasional weekends.
