Vertical milling machine operator — Nantucket County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Nantucket County, Massachusetts. On a typical shift you will measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. You should have: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade 2+ years on the tools preferred.
