Urgent requirement: we are hiring a CNC mill setter-operator in Tom Green County, Texas. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Day-to-day duties: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square 2+ years on the tools preferred.
