Presser wanted in Argyll and Bute

Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The job is at a dry cleaner's. Day to day you will check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; give each garment a final press before packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts. Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets 6+ years on the tools preferred. We offer £2,150 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
