Plant operator — Custer County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a plant operator in Custer County, Colorado. The job is in an open-cast mine. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Level and grade the road sub-base to the surveyor's pegs and string lines • Load and unload the machine on and off the low-loader safely • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Able to operate excavator, loader and dozer confidently • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
