Core maker — Chisago County

Now hiring: we are hiring a core maker in Chisago County, Minnesota. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day-to-day duties: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time with occasional weekends.
