Argon welder wanted in Lee County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon welder in Lee County, Georgia. You will be based on an industrial construction site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Your main tasks: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
