Trowel-trade bricklayer — White Pine County

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in White Pine County, Nevada. The job is on a commercial construction site. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Day-to-day duties: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel 4+ years on the tools preferred.
