Foundry labourer • Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. On a typical shift you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
