Excavator operator — Gilmer County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an excavator operator in Gilmer County, Georgia. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. Your main tasks: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains What we are looking for: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
