Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Kafur, Katsina State. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Rotating shifts.
