Slinger signaller • Shanono, Kano State

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Shanono, Kano State. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Day to day you will rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio.
