Brick and block layer — Stanly County

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Stanly County, North Carolina. You will be based on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding The role involves: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
