Garment machinist — Lewis County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Lewis County, Kentucky. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Six days a week, one day off.
