Steam press operator — Johnson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steam press operator in Johnson County, Iowa. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. On the job you will handle: • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Full-time, day shift.
