Immediate opening: presser (New Mexico)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Mora County, New Mexico. The job is in a busy laundry. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory On the job you will handle: • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
