Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Lere, Kaduna State. You will work at a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness The role involves: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Full-time, day shift.
