Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Decatur County, Iowa. The role involves pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge. You should have: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
