Decorator — North Slope Borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a decorator in North Slope Borough, Alaska. On the job you will handle: • Work safely from ladders, scaffolding and mobile towers • Measure up and work out paint and material quantities • Strip old paint and wallpaper with scrapers and heat guns • Lay down dust sheets and protect floors and furniture • Prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer • Spray emulsion and enamel using HVLP and airless spray guns You should have: • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Working-at-height / PASMA scaffold ticket an advantage • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
