Sample machinist — Kankakee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Kankakee County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line You should have: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
