Core maker — Ukanafun

Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Ukanafun, Akwa Ibom State. On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Six days a week, one day off.
