Laundry presser — Orange County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a laundry presser in Orange County, North Carolina. You will be based in a busy laundry. Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
