Production machine operator — Pittsylvania County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a production machine operator in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. You will work in a textile mill. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Basic record-keeping and part-counting skills • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor On the job you will handle: • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Run the first-off piece and check it against the drawing • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
