Brick mason — Lincoln County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Lincoln County, Mississippi. Day to day you will cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. Requirements: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 3+ years on the tools preferred. $130 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
