Immediate opening: we are hiring a cook in Swain County, North Carolina. The job is at a busy restaurant kitchen. Requirements: • Strong knife skills and speed on the line • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies Day to day you will marinate meats and prepare curries, gravies and bases; follow cleaning schedules and wash down work surfaces; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; prepare the mise en place before each service. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
