Requirements: • Willing to work rotating shifts and night shift • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Day-to-day duties: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery Part-time with flexible hours.
