Great opportunity: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Gates County, North Carolina. You will work at a white goods manufacturing plant. Your main tasks: • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
