Single needle operator — Rock County

Now hiring: we are hiring a single needle operator in Rock County, Nebraska. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. On a typical shift you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
