What we are looking for: • Safety awareness around banksmen, trucks and other plant • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes The role involves: • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
