Argon arc welder — Williamson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Williamson County, Texas. The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $4,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
