Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Obubra, Cross River State. Day to day you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
