Furnace operator • Wright County, Minnesota

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Wright County, Minnesota. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. You will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 5+ years on the tools preferred.
