VMC operator — Clay County

Now hiring: we are hiring a VMC operator in Clay County, North Carolina. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron You will measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm.
