Immediate opening: we are hiring a tile mason in Rooks County, Kansas. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation • Familiar with porcelain, ceramic, mosaic and natural stone Day-to-day duties: • Make curved cuts and holes with an angle grinder and tile drill bits • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Check the falls to floor wastes so the water drains away • Fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
