Structural MIG welder wanted in Luce County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Luce County, Michigan. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing Requirements: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Willing to work shifts and overtime At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
