Bar bender and fixer — New Kent County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in New Kent County, Virginia. The job is at a high-rise construction project. Day to day you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors. You should have: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Part-time with flexible hours.
