Precision welder — Lake County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a precision welder in Lake County, Indiana. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Full-time, day shift.
