Immediate opening: hoist operator (Mississippi)

Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Clay County, Mississippi. The job is on a busy construction site. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Current medical and eyesight certificate • Able to read load charts and lifting plans The role involves: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands 4+ years on the tools preferred.
