Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry worker in Perry County, Ohio. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
